Architectural integration in the Lyon-Turin tunnel
The Lyon-Turin base tunnel shifts freight transport to rail and reduces CO₂ emissions. Concrete walls with a gabion look were designed for integration into the Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne valley. NOE Betongestaltung GmbH developed the necessary formwork matrix for the first time. The ‘Gabion’ model is now part of the standard range.
