Chamfers have been deliberately omitted to create a smooth transition between the rough-sawn boards. At the end of the 10 m long formliners, the ends of the boards are irregularly stepped and interlock so that the end butt joints are hardly noticeable. This creates the appearance of a consistent timber texture covering the whole surface.
